The Children’s ministry team makes every effort to lead the children of our church into a relationship with Jesus. Discipleship begins as we teach them, at their level, how to pray, worship and serve. We want them to be on fire for God and serve him whole heartedly. 1 Samuel 1:27-28 says:
"For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition which I asked of Him. … So Samuel ministered before the Lord, even as a child."
Overheard at a youth rally: “Isn’t it great to see these teens come to the Lord? I mean, their lives are so messed up and they come here and get totally turned around. It’s fantastic!” “Yes, it is. But how much better would it have been if those teens could say, ‘There has never been a day I did not know Him?’”
Children, even young children, can know Christ. They can experience His presence, worship, give and minister. They can pray and their Father hears their prayers. Sunday School should be more than stories and crafts … children should come to church to be with Jesus.
The purpose for children’s church at the Church at Queen Creek is to give children the opportunity to come into the presence of the Lord. When children experience first hand what it is to worship, to pray and to truly be in love with God, they will not stray from their faith as they grow. It is so important to show them God’s love at this tender age. Children are like sponges; eager to soak up whatever we give them. Let’s give them faith!
The vision for Dream Big is to see the children of our church in love with Jesus and learning to be His disciples. We want to teach them, at their level, how to pray, worship and serve. We want them to be on fire for God.
